How it works
Text photos or call. We’ll give you a quote based on what you send.
Pick a time that works with your move-out date.
We do the lifting from anywhere in the home, garage, or yard.
Usable items get donated or recycled when possible.
We sweep up the areas we clear.
Donate it, recycle it, or let us haul it
A lot of what gets left behind still has life in it. We set aside clean furniture, working appliances, housewares, and clothing for donation whenever we can. Torn mattresses, broken items, and things charities can’t accept get recycled or disposed of properly.
Prefer to drop things off yourself? Salinas options
Free mattress drop-off: the Recycling Center at Madison Lane (1104 Madison Ln) and ReGen Monterey (14201 Del Monte Blvd) both accept mattresses free from residents, per the Mattress Recycling Council.
Goodwill Central Coast: donation drop-offs across Monterey County. Check their site for the nearest location.
Bye Bye Mattress: California’s mattress recycling program. Use their locator to find free drop-off sites.
Hours, eligibility, and accepted items change, so call or check each site before you go. Junk Gone isn’t affiliated with these organizations. We share them to help keep usable items out of the landfill.
Tips for a smooth Salinas move-out
Book junk removal before your final cleaning, so cleaners have empty rooms.
Check your lease for garage and yard requirements, not just the inside.
Take photos once everything is cleared, for your deposit records.
Book early near the end of the month. That’s when move-outs stack up.
