Seaside has older single-story homes, former military housing from the Fort Ord era and a lot of apartments. Clearing any of them is heavy work, and it often falls to relatives who live far away.
We handle the physical part: the sorting space, the carrying and the haul-off. You decide what stays. We set aside what can be donated, keep family items apart, and take the rest. Call or text (408) 310-0246 with a photo, and we will give you a free quote after we see the scale of the job.
How an estate cleanout runs
- Walk-through or photosWe look at each room, the garage and any storage, and ask who decides what.
- Plan and quoteA free quote with upfront pricing, and a timeline built around yours.
- Sort, carry, clearKeep, donate and haul piles are set apart. We load the haul pile and take donation items where we can.
Probate, executors and clearing a home after a loved one passes
When a home must be cleared after a death, the family or the executor is often balancing grief, paperwork and travel. We go at the pace that suits you. Tell us who holds the keys, who decides what stays and when the home needs to be empty, and we plan around that.
We sort into three groups: keep (photos, papers, jewelry and family items stay with you), donate (clean furniture, clothing and housewares we can route toward donation) and discard (everything else, hauled away). We do not give legal advice. If a probate attorney or the court sets rules about timing or access, we follow what you tell us.
Typical estate jobs around Seaside
- Single-story house on an older street
A family clears a three-bedroom home over a weekend. Furniture and kitchen goods go to donation, boxes of papers stay, and the garage contents leave with us.
- Apartment after a long tenancy
An adult child has two weeks to empty a one-bedroom. We carry things down the stairs, set aside pieces they want to keep and haul the rest.
- Garage and storage unit sort
A storage unit holds cases and boxes nobody has opened. We sort on site and take what is not wanted.

Garage cleanout Seaside, an early step when downsizing a home
In many Seaside estates the garage is the largest room in the house. In older single-story homes it holds decades of tools, paint, boxes and a spare fridge, and in homes from the Fort Ord era it may be the only storage there is. A garage cleanout Seaside families start with opens floor space to stage what is kept, donated or hauled, and shows how much is left inside. We carry it out, load it and sweep the floor.
Paint, oil and batteries cannot ride in our trailer, so set those aside for the household hazardous waste drop-off at ReGen Monterey. If the garage is the whole job, see our garage cleanouts page.
Estate calls across Seaside
We take estate calls from older neighborhoods around Broadway Avenue and Fremont Boulevard, houses toward Del Monte Boulevard and streets near the former Fort Ord. See our junk removal on the Monterey Peninsula page for the wider area. More about working across the city is on our junk removal in Seaside page.

Where the contents go
Usable furniture, clothing and housewares are set aside for donation. Reuse outlets such as Last Chance Mercantile at ReGen Monterey take reusable goods, but they have limits (mattresses and box springs are generally not accepted), so check before you plan a drop. What cannot be reused goes for recycling or disposal; our Monterey dump guide explains the local landfill and what it takes.
