After the Holidays
Once the holidays are over, the tree has to go, and dragging a dry tree through the house leaves needles everywhere. Junk Gone Hauling picks up Christmas trees in Hollister and around San Benito County. We carry it out of the house, load it and haul it away. Artificial trees, broken lights and empty boxes from the season can go in the same trip.
Why Call Junk Gone
A dry tree sitting in the house or on the porch is a fire risk and a mess. We’ll take it away for you. One text gets it gone, and you can add the boxes, broken lights and wrapping-paper leftovers to the same trip. If you’re in Ridgemark, Tres Pinos or San Juan Bautista, the process is exactly the same.
What We Haul
- Real Christmas trees of any height
- Tree stands and skirts
- Artificial trees, including pre-lit
- Broken lights and decorations
- Wreaths and garland
- Boxes and packaging from the holidays
How It Works
- Text us the tree. Send a photo to (408) 310-0246 and tell us where it is, inside or already outside.
- Pick a pickup time. We send a free estimate and a time. Texts are answered 24/7.
- We take it away. We carry it out, load it and sweep up the needles along the way.
Free Tree Recycling or a Pickup?
Hollister has free options for natural trees. For the 2026–27 season, Recology San Benito County picks up trees curbside on your regular collection day from December 26 to January 31. Take off the stand and every decoration, and cut the tree into sections no longer than 6 feet (flocked trees are accepted). Pickups run one day late the weeks of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Local scout troops sometimes run pickups too, and you can drop a tree at John Smith Road Landfill.
Call us when the tree is still inside, it’s too big to cut down for the curb, or you have boxes, lights and other holiday junk going too.
Where We Serve
We pick up trees in Hollister, Ridgemark, Tres Pinos, San Juan Bautista and Aromas. Junk Gone also serves Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Jose.
