Marina has a local option worth knowing about. According to GreenWaste, the city's hauler, residents can schedule a reuse collection of bulky items a limited number of times a year, with set limits on what each collection can include. For one sofa left at the curb, that may be all you need.
Our part begins where the program ends: a bigger load, items it excludes, furniture you cannot get to the curb, or a date earlier than the next appointment. We lift from whatever room it is in, load the trailer and leave. Message a picture to (408) 310-0246 and we will tell you honestly which choice fits.
What to know about the local program
GreenWaste’s Marina page describes a reuse allowance covering a few collections a year, with limits on volume, e-waste and the number of appliances or bulky pieces; extra items or extra collections can cost more. Hazardous waste and construction materials are not part of it. Details change, so check with GreenWaste for current rules and to schedule.
If you would rather make the trip yourself, ReGen Monterey is about two miles north of town off Highway 1. The Monterey dump guide covers what it takes.

Furniture removal Marina and couch removal Marina, from sleeper sofas to sectionals
Furniture removal Marina callers ask about usually follows a move or a remodel: a townhome off Del Monte Boulevard that needs a bedroom set gone before the next tenant arrives, or a house in one of the newer subdivisions where a dining table and hutch no longer fit the plan. A reuse collection covers a few pieces. Once a whole room is emptied the count passes what it allows, and the stairs become the hard part. Send photos of the piece and the way out, and we plan the carry before we arrive.
Couch removal Marina households need is often a sectional that came in through a wide front door years ago and now has to leave a walk-up unit near the university, or a sleeper sofa stored in a garage. Cushions come off, legs unscrew and sections separate so walls and railings stay clean. Text (408) 310-0246 with the stair count and door width, and the free quote with upfront pricing follows the space the pieces take in the trailer. Sofas and tables in decent shape are offered for donation where possible; the rest goes to the proper local facility.
Mattress removal Marina for student rentals and spare rooms
Mattress removal Marina tenants ask about is usually a twin or full set at move-out near campus, with the box spring and frame beside it. We bag it, carry it down the stairs and load it with the rest. Our mattress removal page covers the details.
