E-Waste Pickup & TV Removal in San Jose
Old TVs, computers, monitors and printers can’t go in the trash in California. We take what the stores won’t, including the big TVs, and carry it all out of any room for you.
Locally owned · Free estimates · Recycle, donate, dispose
California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control says you can’t dispose of e-waste with household trash. That’s why the garbage truck leaves the old TV at the curb. Store drop-off programs help, but they have size and item limits, and somebody still has to load a 60-inch TV or a stack of monitors into a car.
Need e-waste in San Jose gone without a drive to a drop-off? Junk Gone picks up electronics for recycling from homes, garages, offices and storage units in San Jose, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister and nearby cities. Working items go to donation when a charity will take them, and the rest goes to e-waste recycling. Text a photo of what you have to (408) 310-0246 and we’ll get you a free estimate.

E-waste removal FAQs
Can I throw a TV or computer in the trash in California?
No. California's Department of Toxic Substances Control says e-waste can't be disposed of with household trash, and San José doesn't allow it in garbage or recycling carts.
Does Best Buy take old TVs in California?
Yes, for free, but only flat panels up to 50 inches and tube TVs up to 31 inches. Bigger TVs need their paid haul-away service. Daily limits apply, so check bestbuy.com/recycling first.
Will you take the big TVs Best Buy won't?
Yes. Large flat screens, heavy tube TVs, projection and console TVs are a regular pickup for us. We carry them out, so you don't have to.
What electronics won't stores take that you will?
Microwaves, air conditioners, oversized TVs and business electronics are common ones. Send us a photo and we'll take it all in one trip.
Do you take batteries?
Yes. The only batteries we don't take are car batteries.
What happens to the electronics you pick up?
Working items go to donation when a charity will accept them. Everything else goes to e-waste recycling, not the landfill.
How much does e-waste removal cost?
It depends on how much there is. Text photos to (408) 310-0246 for a free, flat-rate estimate; electronics can be added to any junk removal job.
