Junk Gone vs. the city's free Junk Pickup
San José runs a good no-cost Junk Pickup program. If your items are on the city’s list, you can get them to the curb, and your collection day works for you, use it. Book through 311.SanJoseCA.gov, the San José 311 app, by dialing 3-1-1, or at (408) 535-3500.
Call us when the item isn’t on the list, it’s too heavy or too big to bundle, it’s still inside the house, you have more than 12 things, or you need it gone sooner than your next collection day.
