How junk removal pricing works

Most junk removal companies, including us, price by volume: how much of the truck your items fill. That one flat-rate price usually covers:

You get the price before we start. If you add items on the day, we quote the extra first and only load it once you say yes.

How much does it cost to remove a single item?

National guides list single-item pickups anywhere from about $60 to $400, and many companies have a minimum charge. Common examples from LawnStarter’s 2026 cost guide:

Items with their own disposal fees, like mattresses, box springs, tires, appliances and electronics, are always listed separately on your quote so there are no surprises.

What makes junk removal cost more or less?

How to get the most accurate quote

  1. Text photos of everything going, plus anything near it that stays.
  2. Tell us about access: stairs, gate codes, HOA rules and where the truck can park.
  3. Mention heavy items like concrete, dirt, pianos or safes.
  4. Get your free estimate from the photos, or we come out and look in person. For bigger jobs like full house cleanouts, an on-site estimate is the most accurate.

Ways to lower your junk removal cost

Junk removal vs. renting a dumpster

A dumpster can make sense for a long remodel. For most cleanouts, a full-service crew is simpler: we do the loading, there is no permit or driveway damage to worry about, and you only pay for the space you use. See dumpster rentals to compare.

What we can’t take

We never transport hazardous materials, including paint, solvents, pesticides, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos and medical waste. Your county’s household hazardous waste program takes these for free or at low cost.

Junk removal cost FAQs

Is the estimate free?

Yes. Text photos to (408) 310-0246 for a free estimate, or we can come out and look in person.

Why don’t you post a price list?

Two jobs that look alike in photos can be very different once you factor in weight, stairs, disassembly and disposal fees. A free estimate gets you a real number for your job instead of a guess.

Does the price include disposal?

Yes. Your flat-rate quote includes labor, loading, hauling and standard disposal. Items with their own disposal fees, like mattresses, tires and appliances, are listed separately so you see them before we start.

Can the price change on the day?

Not for what we quoted. If you add items, we price the extra and only load it after you approve.

Do you remove single items?

Yes. Send a photo of the item and where it is, and we’ll quote it.
